Paradise Foods Limited has successfully concluded its highly anticipated annual National Consumer Promotion – the Smart Start School Promotion for 2024. This initiative, aimed at fostering education and community engagement, saw enthusiastic participation from schools across Papua New Guinea. The major draw events, which determined the regional winners, were held at various strategic locations across the country.

The draw for the Southern Region took place at Paradise Foods Office, Kawai Site, Port Moresby. The winner was Karea Primary School from Gulf Province. The draw for the Momase Region was held at Paradise Foods Taraka Site, Lae, where St Paul’s Primary School from Morobe Province emerged victorious. The Highlands Region’s draw occurred at Paradise Foods Mt Hagen Office, with Tega Primary School from Western Highlands Province being the winner. The final draw event for the NGI Region was conducted at New World Trading, Kokopo, and Rakunai Primary School from East New Britain Province took the prize.

The Smart Start School Promotion spanned from February to April 2024, attracting over 40,000 entries nationwide during its nine-week run. The competition was structured to reward the school in each region that collected the highest number of valid entries with a substantial K44,000 Smart Start School Grant. Additionally, individual participants stood a chance to win one of the one thousand consolation prizes, each valued at K50.

Paradise Foods Limited, through this promotion, aimed to bolster educational institutions and promote self-sufficiency among schools. The initiative received significant support from the Department of Education, underscoring its importance in enhancing educational activities and resources. The endorsement from the Department of Education highlighted the promotion as a valuable tool for encouraging schools to undertake more self-sufficient projects.
