Training Officers – Lae & Port Moresby

Location: Lae & Port Moresby
Reports to: Training & Development Coordinator

We are seeking two enthusiastic and motivated Training Officers to join our team – one based in Lae and one in Port Moresby. This is a great opportunity for individuals passionate about training, operational excellence, and making a positive impact.


About the Role

As a Training Officer, you will play a key role in developing our people and improving site operations. You will design and deliver effective training programs, ensuring our teams meet safety protocols, operational procedures, and industry standards.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive training programs.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and operational standards.
  • Assess training needs and work with management to address operational challenges.
  • Conduct hands-on training sessions, workshops, and practical demonstrations.
  • Monitor and evaluate training effectiveness, seeking improvements.
  • Collaborate with site management to promote a culture of safety, professionalism, and continuous learning.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years’ experience in site operations, preferably in construction, manufacturing, or related industries.
  • Proven track record in a similar training role or function.
  • Basic understanding of safety regulations and operational processes.
  • Ability to facilitate training effectively.
  • Certified Trainer with Training of Trainers (TOT) Certification or Cert IV in TAE.
  • Passion for learning, teaching, and driving positive change.
