Queen Emma Chocolate was delighted to host the Australian Assistant Minister for Trade & Manufacturing, Senator Tim Ayres, for a visit to our chocolate factory. We were honoured to showcase the work and the support we have received from the Australian government.

In the past, Queen Emma Chocolate has received significant support through the Pacific Horticultural & Agricultural Market Access Plus Program (Phama Plus), which has assisted with market access initiatives, chocolate profiling, and the procurement of laboratory equipment. This support has enabled us to become export-ready and produce high-quality chocolate products for the Australian market.

“We are incredibly grateful for the support we have received through Phama Plus,” said Karina Makori, General Manager of Queen Emma Chocolate. “The program has been instrumental in helping us improve our production processes, develop new products, and expand our market reach. We are proud to have the Australian government as our partner, and we look forward to continuing to work together to achieve our goals.”

During the visit, Senator Ayres had the opportunity to tour the chocolate factory, learn about the company’s operations, and meet with the staff. He was impressed by the company’s commitment to sustainable and ethical practices and the high-quality products.

Queen Emma Chocolate is a leading producer of high-quality chocolate products in Papua New Guinea. We are committed to sustainable and ethical practices, sourcing our cocoa beans from local farmers and producing chocolate in-house. With a focus on innovation and continuous improvement, Queen Emma Chocolate is poised for continued success in the global market.
