Document Controller

Join PNG’s leading food manufacturer!
We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Document Controller to join our team, based in Lae and reporting directly to the Quality Systems Manager.

The Role

As a Document Controller, you will play a vital role in maintaining and managing the company’s documentation and compliance systems across Paradise Foods.

Key Responsibilities:
Documentation Control & Compliance

  • Manage and maintain the Documentation Control Procedure across PFL.
  • Ensure all company documents comply with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor document version control, updates, approvals, and accessibility.
  • Train and guide staff on proper documentation practices and compliance requirements.

Reporting Support

  • Assist the Group Compliance Manager in preparing monthly divisional reports.
  • Compile, analyse, and consolidate data from multiple sources for accurate reporting.
  • Track progress on key compliance metrics and identify areas of concern.

Coordination & Meetings

  • Support the Group Compliance Manager in coordinating monthly Action Tracker Meetings.
  • Prepare agendas, track action items, and ensure timely follow-ups.
  • Maintain meeting records, minutes, and status updates on compliance actions.

Training Management

  • Maintain and update the Training Register for the Quality Systems Department.
  • Track completion of mandatory and refresher trainings for all staff.
  • Assist in reporting training compliance to management.

Continuous Improvement

  • Identify gaps and propose improvements in document management and training practices.
  • Ensure alignment with industry standards and organizational compliance frameworks.
  • Assist in audits and compliance assessments related to documentation and training.
About You

We are looking for someone with:

  • degree in Applied Science, Chemistry, or Food Technology.
  • 3–5 years’ experience in a similar role within an FMCG business (preferred).
  • Strong background knowledge in food processing, ingredients, microbiology, and regulatory standards.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and other Microsoft applications.
  • Ability to work independently and under pressure while managing multiple tasks.
  • High attention to detail with strong technical competency.
  • Great communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.
