About the Role

As the Area Sales Manager, you will be responsible for achieving sales targets in your designated area by managing relationships with key customers, retail outlets, and wholesalers. You will also lead and support a team of Sales Representatives and Merchandisers to deliver strong performance.

Key Responsibilities

1. Administration

• Ensure accurate and timely collection of sales data
• Provide regular reports and updates to management
• Monitor and report on competitor pricing and sales performance

2. Operations

• Implement and manage sales promotions according to plan
• Ensure proper use and maintenance of company resources and equipment
• Provide accurate reports on repair and maintenance requirements

3. Financial

• Manage promotional spending within budget
• Ensure proper control of all sales and promotional materials
• Use products and novelty items as per promotional plans

4. Business Development

• Identify and secure new business opportunities to grow the company’s presence

5. Communication & Relationship Building

• Maintain strong relationships with key customers and ensure their needs are met
• Collaborate with warehouse and distribution teams to ensure timely delivery of products

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Business or related field
• Minimum 3–4 years of experience in a similar role
• Relevant business skills accreditation
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Strong attention to detail and a focus on timely delivery
• Ability to lead, motivate, and train team members
• Comfortable working in a cross-cultural environment
• Self-starter with strong relationship-building capabilities
