We are seeking a results-driven Trade Marketing Manager to lead and execute high-impact brand, consumer, and trade activation strategies across Papua New Guinea.
Reporting directly to the Group Manager – Commercial, this role is a key member of the Senior Leadership Team and will play a pivotal role in driving market growth, strengthening brand presence, and maximizing commercial performance. This position will be based in Port Moresby.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute national trade marketing strategies to grow market share across categories and channels.
- Collaborate with Brand and Sales teams to plan and deliver integrated category, brand, and channel activation programs.
- Lead consumer, shopper, and trade marketing initiatives aligned with brand strategy and DME budgets.
- Manage trade execution, including pricing, distribution, promotional agencies, and supplier relationships.
- Drive monthly cycle planning and execution, ensuring alignment with Sales and 100% delivery of plans.
- Deliver customer insights and category analysis, including range reviews, gap analysis, and trade engagement tools.
- Lead and develop a high-performing team while ensuring compliance with company policies and Health, Safety, and Environmental standards.
Qualifications & Skills
- Minimum 5–7 years’ experience in Trade Marketing or Brand Management, preferably within FMCG or consumer goods in Papua New Guinea.
- Strong analytical skills with a high level of attention to detail and strategic thinking ability.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal teams and retail partners.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field (preferred).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
