Paradise Foods Limited is seeking an experienced and organised Stores Supervisor to join our Engineering Department in Port Moresby.

Reporting to the Engineering Coordinator, the successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the engineering stores operations, ensuring the availability, control and efficient management of engineering spare parts, tools and maintenance inventory required to support continuous manufacturing operations.

The Stores Supervisor will play a key role in maintaining optimal stock levels, ensuring inventory accuracy and coordinating with maintenance personnel to ensure spare parts and materials are readily available to minimise equipment downtime.

The ideal candidate will have strong inventory management skills, an understanding of engineering components and the ability to maintain efficient stores operations while upholding company safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and control engineering stores, spare parts, tools and maintenance inventory.
• Maintain appropriate stock levels to support preventive and breakdown maintenance activities.
• Monitor inventory movements and ensure accurate stock records and documentation.
• Coordinate the ordering, receiving, issuing and storage of maintenance materials and equipment.
• Conduct regular stock inspections, stock counts and inventory reconciliations.
• Ensure proper storage, preservation and handling of engineering parts and materials.
• Support maintenance and production teams by ensuring timely access to spare parts and consumables.
• Maintain accurate inventory records, reports and relevant documentation.
• Liaise with Engineering, Production, Procurement, Quality and Safety teams regarding stock requirements.
• Identify opportunities to improve inventory control, cost efficiency and stores management processes.
• Ensure stores operations comply with company policies, safety standards and maintenance procedures.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised stores environment.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience

• Diploma or technical qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, Fitting and Machining, Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in maintenance stores, warehouse operations, inventory control or engineering support within a manufacturing or FMCG environment.
• Sound knowledge of engineering spare parts, maintenance equipment and inventory management practices.
• Strong organisational, administrative and record-keeping skills.
• Experience using inventory management systems and Microsoft Office applications.
• Good numerical, analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, manuals and maintenance documentation.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
