Quality Systems Coordinator

We are inviting applications from enthusiastic and motivated individuals to join Paradise Foods Limited, one of Papua New Guinea’s most dynamic and vibrantly growing businesses.

This is a casual position based in Port Moresby within the Quality & Compliance Department, offered for a 3-month term from the date of commencement.

Purpose of the Role:

The Quality Systems Coordinator is responsible for ensuring compliance with relevant industry standards, managing quality system documentation, conducting audits, and promoting a culture of continuous improvement and quality assurance.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee the development, implementation, and maintenance of Integrated Management Systems (HACCP, FSSC, Environmental, OHSE) to meet industry and regulatory requirements.

  • Plan and conduct internal and external audits; identify non-conformities and drive corrective actions.
  • Maintain and update quality documentation including policies, procedures, work instructions, and records.
  • Deliver training programs to staff on standards, processes, and best practices.
  • Lead improvement initiatives within the Integrated Management Systems to boost efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable laws, standards, and customer expectations.
  • Investigate quality issues, conduct root cause analysis, and implement preventive actions.
  • Provide quality performance reports and recommendations to management.
  • Respond to and resolve quality-related customer inquiries and complaints in a timely manner.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, or a related field.
  • Certification in HACCP, FSSC, or ISO standards is highly desirable.
  • 3–5 years’ experience in a quality role within the food industry.
  • Strong experience in managing HACCP, FSSC 22000, or similar food safety systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage internal and external audit processes.
  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance and industry standards (e.g., FDA, GMP, ISO).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and quality management software tools.
