Paradise Foods Celebrates 90 Years: A Day to Remember
Ninety years of excellence, dedication, and unshakable commitment – this remarkable milestone called for a grand celebration. On Tuesday 17th October 2023, Paradise Foods commemorated its 90th Year Anniversary at the Sir Ignatius Kilage Sports Stadium in Lae, Morobe Province. The event was a testament to our enduring journey, bringing together every member of our Paradise Foods family, from factory staff to senior management.
We were honoured to host distinguished guests who graced the occasion, including Deputy Prime Minister and Member for Lae, Honourable John Rosso, representatives from the Lae Chamber of Commerce, and our valued suppliers. Their presence added to the significance of this day.
Our celebration was a vibrant showcase of Papua New Guinean culture, with the staff coming together to share food and the lively tunes of a bamboo band playing for entertainment. This shared feast and the musical beats set a colourful backdrop, reminding us of the rich tapestry of cultures that make up our country.
The event’s speakers, including Deputy Prime Minister John Rosso, shared their thoughts on Paradise Foods’ remarkable journey and unwavering commitment to the nation. Deputy Prime Minister Rosso, in a heart-warming moment, shared his own fond memories of Paradise Bakery in Lae. He recalled buying scones and biscuits with his friends in his younger days, a reminder of the special place Paradise Foods holds in the hearts of the people.
Another notable speaker was our Group CEO, Michael Penrose, who articulated the company’s dedication to providing quality products, fostering economic growth, and preserving our nation’s rich heritage.
