The Buka Hausik Hauskuk Appeal received several assorted cartons of biscuits and Tru Tru Wara from Paradise Foods in support of their initiative in feeding the patients and guardians of Buka General Hospital during the Christmas season last year.

The Buka Hausik Hauskuk Appeal seeks out sponsorship or donations in cash and kind to help the Buka General Hospital kitchen with their three-days-a-meal for patients and guardians.

The General Hospital in Buka services mainland South, Central and North Bougainville, including Nissan Island and the Atolls. The kitchen provides for up to 200 patients and their guardians, and with the rise of Covid-19, the hospital has seen an increase in the number of patients in the hospital.

The initiative, started by Post Courier journalist, Romulus Masiu from Bougainville, along with like-minded friends kicked off on social media and has since attracted the support of several organizations and citizens as well.

Romulus and friends have identified a critical challenge/issue faced by many health centers across the nation and have chosen to address this challenge with the Buka Hausik Hauskuk Appeal.

Paradise Foods, in standing by our mission to feed the nation, is privileged to support the work of the Buka Hausik Hauskuk Appeal.
