We have a vacancy for an enthusiastic and motivated Packaging Manager who will be based in (Lae) and reporting to the (Plant Manager).
The Role:
- Participate at management level in guiding successful packaging operations and development of the company
- Identify industry trends and associated business opportunities and develop strategies to capitalize on these
- Plan and implement successful packaging operations systems within broad policy guidelines
- Interpret the demands of the workplace and the people in it, and provide appropriate leadership behavior on the basis of staff maturity in the tasks they are undertaking
- Build and maintain a collaborative team, focused on providing services that meet the operational needs of the company and products that meet customer’s needs
- Maintain excellent communication with colleagues, customers, suppliers, team members and Company staff
- Drive improvements throughout the Department in terms of cost savings through line efficiency improvements, waste reduction, downtime reduction, improved quality, and improved attendance to work
About You:
- Bachelor’s degree in food technology, engineering or equivalent
- At least 3 years’ experience and demonstrated success in a similar management level position, in a manufacturing environment
- Membership of a relevant professional body
- A current class 1 driver’s license is required
