The Role:
Reporting to the IT Engineer based in Port Moresby, the Information Technology Technical Support Officer will ensure all information technology systems, software and programs for the Port Moresby sites are maintained to required standards. The incumbent will be responsible for various IT operating environments under the guidance of the IT Engineer. This position will focus on administering Paradise Foods Limited (PFL) network infrastructure, communications, SYSPRO ERP system and help desk environment supporting Port Moresby users on our main business applications needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide basic network and systems support for SYSPRO ERP system, MEX Application, Attache’ Payroll and other associate software and applications.
- Experience in SYSPRO ERP system, SYSPRO MOM and Espresso Application support
- Experience in Microsoft Office 365, Azure Active Directory and SharePoint Intranet support.
- Check logs for unauthorized network access, ensure current virus threats are contained and OS service packs are up to date.
- Ensure all network and communication equipment and systems are operational and functioning and attend to any user problems.
- Experience in network cabling and termination both wired and wireless configuration.
- Experience in windows server Active Directory, DNS, DHP, Print Services and File Server Management.
- Maintain an inventory of computer hardware and software including licenses.
- Perform installations and configuration of computer hardware and software, systems, networks, printers and scanners.
- Install and upgrade both systems and application software as required adhering to all licensing agreement.
- Perform preventative maintenance duties on items of IT hardware, including the cleaning of equipment.
- To Investigate, diagnose and solve computer software and hardware faults.
- Responding in a timely manner to service issues and requests according to ticket request.
- Perform other duties as directed by the management.
- Ensure all new Hardware and Software acquisitions are in compliance with the company’s standards and requirements.
- Liaise with other managers to ensure that management information systems provide the data needed to monitor and control management accounting operation.
- Act on customer feedback to improve information technology systems, processes and procedures.
- Identify and develop opportunities to provide quality and exceptional service to customers and internal managers that have a benefit for the company.
The successful candidate for this position must have:
- Minimum Diploma in Information Technology
- Minimum 3 years experience in a similar role
- Previous experience within the FMCG environment
- Flexibility with time and long hours
