Utilities Team Leader
Paradise Foods is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Utilities Team Leader to join our team in Lae. This role reports directly to the Maintenance Coordinator and is responsible for leading and maintaining all utility operations to support manufacturing efficiency and safety.
The Role
As Utilities Team Leader, you will:
- Lead utility operations including steam, compressed air, refrigeration, water treatment, and electrical systems
- Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations
- Manage preventive and corrective maintenance schedules for utility equipment
- Monitor energy usage and implement efficiency improvements
- Coordinate with production teams to support manufacturing needs
- Supervise and train utility technicians to maintain high performance and safety standards
- Maintain documentation for audits, inspections, and operational reporting
About You
We are looking for a candidate with:
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering
- 2–3 years’ experience in utilities management within FMCG or manufacturing environments
- Knowledge of utility systems such as boilers, chillers, compressors, and HVAC
- Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) is a plus
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities
- Effective communication and coordination skills
- Technical proficiency in utility systems and energy management
- Commitment to safety and quality
