Throughout the month of October, PFL partnered with the PNG Cancer Foundation to recognize Pinktober through our brand Tru Tru Wara donning a pink ribbon in support of womens health awareness. The month started with cancer awareness for the staff of Paradise Foods Limited and Laga Industries in Port Moresby. PFL staff in East New Britain, Western Highlands & Morobe Provinces also had the opportunity to learn about cancer prevention. Our sales and promotions team worked with the PNG Cancer Foundation to conduct community engagement programs in Port Moresby, Lae and other centres as well. PNGCF through the support of PFL, visited:

  • Rabaul Market (7th October) & Kokopo Market (8th October) in East New Britan Province;
  • Tubuseria Village (13th October) & Agevairu Station (17th October) in Central Province;
  • Tininga Central & Tiningal Dobel (23rd October), Mt Hagen in Western Highlands Province; and
  • St. Mary Primary School (28th October) & Butibam Village (29th October), Lae, Morobe Province

Our Pink Ribbon Tru Tru Wara bottled water travelled the length and width of the country and our community engagement program helped PNGCF to reach over 3,000 people with the important message of cancer prevention and healthy lifestyle choices. This was a first of its kind promotion for Paradise Foods and for the Tru Tru Wara brand.

The promotion was also able to partner with provincial health authorities in East New Britain and the National Cancer Treatment Centre in Lae to run the programs. The team from AFL PNG emNau Sponsored Niukick program also joined the Tru Tru Wara Pinktober campaign that ran throughout October.

A special thank you to the team in Rabaul, Kokopo, Mt Hagen, Lae and Port Moresby for supporting the awareness side of this promotion and making this campaign a success for the company.
