We are seeking an experienced and qualified Training & Development Manager in Port Moresby, PNG. The role is a key member of the Human Resources team that supports the company in planning, developing, implementing, and administering the development and training programs for employees.
The position reports to the Group Manager-People & Performance.
The Role:
Success in this position will be measured by achievement of targets. For example:
- Directs the needs assessment for training and staff development to enhance the effectiveness of employee performance in achieving the goals and objectives of the company.
- Responsible to build and implement Talent Strategy incorporating Development and Succession Plans.
- Initiate training programs for Leadership Capability Development.
- Talent Assessment and Development
- Develops learning activities, audio-visual materials, instructor guides and lesson plans.
- Reviews evaluations of training courses, objectives, and accomplishments.
- Trains employees on HR issues and practices. Presents course materials.
- Consults with management on performance, organizational and leadership matters. Conducts needs assessments to determine measures required to enhance employee job performance and overall company performance.
About You:
To be successful in your application, you will have:
- CERT IV or equivalent in training and development or organizational development
- Certified HR Professional or Senior Certified HR Professional credential preferred
- +3 years of experience of training experience, and at least one year of supervisory or Management experience
- Experience in designing and implementing effective training and development programs
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
- Adept with a variety of multimedia training platforms and methods
- Ability to evaluate and research training options and alternatives
- Has excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proven effective management & strong presentation skills
