During the regional launch of our new Smart Start Breakfast Biscuit in May, our Southern Region Sales team were challenged to create a unique Smart Start Breakfast Biscuit Display in retail outlets in their Region.

The in-house competition began in May and ended in July, which completed the 3-month activation in the Southern Region. The Criteria for the challenge were Display Location, Use of POS on Display and Creative “Out-of-the-Box” Display.

At the conclusion of the three months, we appreciated and rewarded the Best Displays by the merchandise teams. There were two categories, the first for the main centre NCD and second for our outstations covering Milne Bay, Popondetta, Central, Gulf and Western Provinces.

Sales Rep Boe Leke’s set up at E-Mart, Boroko was the winning display for NCD. When asked what the aim of his display was Boe said that he wanted to create more awareness on Smart Start.

For his display Boe created a small canoe display elevated above the display to draw attention to the product. He used an off-location display which sat near the checkout, resulting in the increase of sales for Smart Start at E-Mart Boroko during the 3 months of activation.

For our outstations, Popondetta under Sales Rep Rachael Kendi had the best display which showed both creativity and usage of POS.
