Paradise Foods Limited, 100% locally owned company by Nambawan Super Ltd., welcomed CEOs and Heads of Superannuation Funds from across the Pacific region as part of the Pacific Islands Investment Forum. The delegates were given a tour of PFL’s manufacturing facility in Port Moresby, showcasing the biscuit and snack production facilities, as well as a tour of the Queen Emma Chocolate Factory.

Standing in for Group CEO Michael Penrose, GM Marketing Roger Harwood warmly welcomed the CEOs and delegates, stating, “Welcome to Paradise Foods, where we are delighted to be hosting you all today. Our great team is keen to show you how we manufacture PNG’s favorite biscuits and snacks, namely emNAU crackers and Gold Nuggets, respectively. We are manufacturing 24 hours per day for 6 days of the week to keep up with marketplace demand. As we say at Paradise, we are a home-grown company punching above our weight.”

This year marks an exciting time for Paradise Foods, as the company has recently amalgamated with Laga Industries Ltd., with a new biscuit oven being installed along with a new Distribution Centre, both in Lae. At the same time, The Queen Emma Chocolate Factory in Port Moresby is preparing for a significant investment to upgrade and increase output to target international markets with cocoa mass, cocoa butter, cocoa powder, and finished chocolate.

The tour concluded with all visitors sampling the new, bigger and better Hamamas ice cream made at Paradise’s Gala Ice Cream factory in Lae. Mr. Harwood commented, “Our visitors certainly got to enjoy a taste of paradise today.”

Paradise Foods Ltd. is proud to have showcased its manufacturing facility to the Pacific Islands Investment Forum and looks forward to exploring potential investment opportunities across the Pacific region.
