Merchandiser

Join PNG’s Largest Food Manufacturer

Paradise Foods Limited is seeking a committed, energetic and motivated Merchandiser to join our Sales Team based in Tari, Hela Province.

Reporting directly to the Trade Marketing Representative, the successful candidate will support daily sales operations by executing key in-store activities that enhance product visibility, availability and presentation. This role is essential in ensuring strong execution of merchandising standards and supporting overall sales performance in the region.

Key Responsibilities

Merchandising Execution

  • Merchandise products safely and efficiently in accordance with company policies, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and work instructions
  • Refill shelves from back stock and maintain product availability
  • Support promotional activities, displays and in-store execution plans
  • Ensure products are presented to required quality and merchandising standards

Reporting & Documentation

  • Accurately complete sales and merchandising check sheets
  • Record completed work, materials used and daily field activities
  • Assist with trade marketing activities and execution support

Customer & Quality Focus

  • Communicate effectively with the sales team and customers to meet operational needs
  • Ensure merchandising quality standards are maintained at all times
  • Identify issues in-store and support quick resolution
  • Work closely with the sales team to improve execution outcomes

Professional Behaviour & Teamwork

  • Follow company operating procedures and work instructions
  • Cooperate effectively with team members and field staff
  • Provide good customer service at all times
  • Support and assist in training fellow staff when required

Skills and Qualifications

The successful applicant should possess:

  • Experience in Trade Marketing, Sales or the FMCG industry
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to maintain high merchandising standards within retail outlets
  • Ability to work independently and manage daily field activities
  • Valid Class 6 Driver’s Licence will be an advantage
