The Role

The Materials Planner plays a critical role in supply chain management and production planning. They ensure that materials required for manufacturing processes are available when needed, balancing inventory levels and minimizing costs.

The Materials Planner is responsible for the coordination and planning of materials to ensure an uninterrupted flow of production. This includes managing inventory levels, placing orders with suppliers, monitoring supplier performance, and ensuring timely delivery of materials. The role requires close collaboration with procurement, production, and logistics teams to optimize the supply chain process.

The successful candidate for this position must have:

·    Tertiary Education – Supply Chain management, Business Administration or related fields.

• Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in materials planning, inventory management or supply chain management
• Proficiency in MRP/ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Experience in FMCG industry preferred.
