At Paradise Foods we believe we have what it takes to do amazing things!  We currently have a pivotal role in our business for a highly motivated and innovative Market Research & Insights Manager to join our Marketing team in Port Moresby. 

The Role:

The Market Research & Insights Manager reports to the Group Marketing Manager and is responsible for providing data-driven insights to support the organisations growth and success.  This role plays a critical part in helping the organisation make informed decisions, developing and executing strategic plans and achieve its long-term objectives.

Key Responsibilities include:

Demand Planning:

  • Lead the rolling 18-month Demand Planning company Sales forecast, in conjunction with Sales Dept. for improved accuracy.
  • Utilise the company’s ERP Syspro forecasting module to measure & achieve agreed forecast accuracy standards.

Market Research:

  • Conduct market research to assess consumer & customer needs, preferences, and trends.
  • Monitor industry trends and competitors to identify opportunities for growth and innovation.
  • Provide regular reports on market conditions and competitive landscape from Listening Posts.

Data Analysis and Insights:

  • Collect, analyse, and interpret data from various sources to provide actionable insights.
  • Identify trends, patterns, and opportunities through TMIS data analysis to inform decision-making.
  • Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) and dashboards to monitor progress towards strategic goals.

Financial Analysis:

  • Work closely with various departments and teams as required within the organization to ensure alignment with the Sales & Marketing plan.
  • Undertake analytical assignments as tasked & communicate insights and recommendations to stakeholders, including senior management.

Risk Assessment:

  • Identify potential risks and challenges that may affect the organization’s strategic initiatives.
  • Develop risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans.

The Successful You:

The Market Research and Insights Manager role plays a crucial guide in the organization’s long-term success and ensuring that strategic initiatives are data-driven and well-executed. This role requires a combination of strategic thinking, analytical skills, and effective communication.  To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • Have a bachelor’s degree in business, economics, finance or related. A master’s degree is preferred.
  • Proven experience in market research, data analysis and strategic planning.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and software.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and cross-functional environment.
  • Knowledgeable in industry trends and best practices.
