Reporting to the Site Manager, the Engineering Manager is based in Port Moresby and has;
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop & implement a Master Planning strategy that is focused on minimizing plant downtime / maximize throughout efficiencies reducing the TDC of plants & considering safety / Quality /Food Safety / Supply Chain / Sales / Operations & Engineering departments to maximize all departments effectiveness & therefore delivering the business goals.
- As part of the Site Leadership team, help drive overall profitability of the business by delivering continuous improvement solutions, appropriate planning to maintain business continuity, continually improving reliability, reducing business interruptions, appropriate spending on R&M, improving quality & GMP conditions and improving the safe working conditions of all sites.
- Developing/Implementing maintenance programs for critical assets throughout the business.
- Manage the Capex programs across all sites and support subsequent completion of these projects on time and within budget.
- Drive change in maintenance culture from reactive to Pro Active toward Maintenance Excellence and sustainability through the implementation of best practices/plans/action lists/training that covers all areas needed to drive continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Engineering Degree (Mechanical/Electrical) Desired
- Engineering Trade (Mechanical/Electrical) Essential
- Experience with continuous highspeed processing and packaging equipment in a FMCG industrial food production environment or relevant experience in an industrial maintenance environment
- Proven fault-finding and trouble shooting skills.
- Computer skills, MEX, MS Office Suite
- Processed based risk assessment skills.
- Demonstrated Leadership/Management experience
