Paradise Foods Limited is seeking a highly motivated, results-driven and experienced Packaging Supervisor to lead our biscuit packaging operations in Port Moresby.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring packaging operations are safe, efficient and compliant with quality and food safety standards, while leading a high-performing team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Objectives
The Packaging Supervisor will be responsible for ensuring:
- Quality biscuits are packed efficiently and on schedule.
- Packaged products meet company quality and food safety standards.
- Packaging materials are available in the required quantity and quality for each shift.
- Manpower is effectively coordinated to support uninterrupted production.
- Start-up checks are completed and corrective actions are taken promptly to prevent downtime and delays.
Key Responsibilities
Manufacturing Operations
- Ensure packaging lines operate efficiently and safely to achieve daily production targets while minimizing downtime, waste and product losses.
- Coordinate manpower, equipment and production schedules to maintain smooth operations.
- Ensure products are packed according to company standards and delivery requirements.
- Achieve operational targets through effective planning, execution and continuous improvement.
- Monitor costs, minimize waste and improve productivity.
- Identify and implement opportunities to improve systems, processes and overall business performance.
Food Quality & Food Safety
- Adhere to food safety standards, policies and procedures to ensure product safety and regulatory compliance.
- Maintain product quality standards and ensure products meet customer and company specifications.
- Monitor biscuit quality throughout the packaging process and implement corrective actions when required.
- Verify date codes, carton configurations, palletising standards and packaging accuracy.
- Promote and maintain strict adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and hygiene standards.
Safety & Compliance
- Ensure a safe working environment and compliance with workplace health and safety requirements.
- Ensure start-up, operational and cleaning procedures are followed correctly.
- Report, investigate and document workplace incidents and recommend corrective actions.
- Participate in GMP, safety, hazard and quality audits.
- Ensure corrective actions are completed promptly.
- Maintain a clean, organized and safe working environment at all times.
Team Leadership
- Lead, develop and support employees to build a productive and high-performing team.
- Monitor attendance, break schedules and workforce productivity.
- Provide coaching, guidance and performance feedback to team members.
- Address workplace misconduct and document disciplinary matters in accordance with company procedures.
- Conduct effective shift handovers and maintain clear communication between shifts.
- Foster a positive, safe and collaborative work environment.
Qualifications & Experience
The successful candidate should possess:
- A minimum Diploma and/or Trade Qualification in Manufacturing, Food Technology, Engineering, Operations Management or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years’ supervisory experience in a manufacturing, food processing or packaging environment.
- Strong understanding of production processes, quality systems and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
- Demonstrated experience leading teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Strong problem-solving, decision-making and organizational skills.
- Good computer literacy and report-writing capabilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
