Logistics Coordinator

Paradise Foods Limited is seeking a highly motivated, organised and reliable Logistics Coordinator to join our Lae team.
Reporting to the Logistics & Warehouse Manager – Lae, the Logistics Coordinator will support the efficient movement of Finished Goods and Raw Materials across our operations. The role is responsible for coordinating daily logistics activities and ensuring customer orders are picked, loaded, dispatched and delivered within agreed timelines.
We are looking for a hands-on, detail-oriented and dependable individual who can coordinate multiple activities under pressure while maintaining accurate documentation and effective communication with internal teams, customers and transport providers.
Key Responsibilities
Transport & Delivery Coordination
- Coordinate daily transport requirements and customer deliveries.
- Allocate and coordinate transport providers and drivers.
- Monitor deliveries and follow up on delays or outstanding shipments.
- Ensure vehicles are available and utilised effectively.
- Escalate transport issues promptly to the Logistics & Warehouse Manager.
Order & Dispatch Coordination
- Coordinate daily picking, loading and dispatch activities.
- Monitor customer orders to ensure they are dispatched within agreed timelines.
- Follow up on pending, incomplete and delayed orders.
- Coordinate the movement of orders to the wharf, cartage yard and other designated locations.
- Ensure no shipment is dispatched without the required documentation.
Documentation & System Accuracy
- Ensure Delivery Notes, Picking Slips, Proof of Delivery and other shipping documents are accurate and complete.
- Maintain accurate records of dispatched and delivered orders.
- Update logistics and warehouse systems in a timely manner.
- Investigate and report documentation discrepancies and system issues.
Warehouse & Stock Coordination
- Coordinate with warehouse teams to ensure stock is available and ready for dispatch.
- Monitor staging and loading activities.
- Ensure stock is handled in accordance with FIFO/FEFO requirements.
- Report shortages, damages, stock discrepancies and loading issues.
- Support stock transfers and inter-site logistics activities.
Customer & Internal Coordination
- Liaise with Sales, Customer Service, Warehouse and Finance teams regarding orders and deliveries.
- Provide regular updates on order and delivery status.
- Coordinate with customers and transport providers to resolve delivery issues.
- Escalate customer delivery concerns promptly.
Logistics KPI & Reporting
- Maintain daily logistics and delivery trackers.
- Monitor OTIF/DIFOT, delivery turnaround, pending orders and transport performance.
- Prepare daily and weekly logistics reports.
- Highlight delays, exceptions and recurring issues to management.
- Support corrective actions to improve logistics performance.
Cost & Efficiency
- Monitor transport utilisation and avoid unnecessary trips, waiting time and additional costs.
- Support efficient route and delivery planning.
- Identify opportunities to improve delivery turnaround and reduce logistics costs.
- Monitor detention and other avoidable logistics charges.
Safety, Compliance & Accountability
- Ensure all logistics activities comply with company policies and procedures.
- Support food safety, cold chain and regulatory requirements where applicable.
- Promote safe loading, handling and transport practices.
- Take ownership of assigned activities and ensure issues are followed through to resolution.
What We’re Looking For
The successful candidate will have:
- 2–3 years’ experience in logistics, transport, warehousing, supply chain or FMCG.
- Experience coordinating transport, deliveries, dispatch or warehouse activities.
- A good understanding of logistics and transport operations in Papua New Guinea.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Warehouse/Inventory Management Systems.
- Strong communication and coordination skills.
- Good problem-solving and follow-up skills.
- The ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
- A high level of accuracy, discipline and accountability.
- A Diploma or Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business or a related field is an advantage.
- Must be based in Lae or willing to relocate.
