IT Technician

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated IT Technician to join our team based in Lae, reporting directly to the IT Engineer.
The purpose of this role is to provide support in ensuring all information technology systems, software and programs are maintained to the required standards and continue to support business operations effectively.
The Role
Key responsibilities include:
- Provide basic network and systems support for SYSPRO ERP Systems, Attaché Payroll, Time & Access, MEX Application and other associated software and applications.
- Provide support for Exchange Online, Microsoft Office 365, Azure Cloud Active Directory, Intune MDM, Endpoint Defender and SharePoint Intranet.
- Provide support for Windows Server Active Directory, DNS, DHCP and file share services to ensure connectivity and security.
- Install, monitor, maintain and provide solutions for all hardware and software systems to ensure effectiveness in daily business operations.
- Provide printer and copier support by monitoring and coordinating with service providers for hardware purchases and repairs.
- Troubleshoot and resolve reported IT issues while promoting safe IT practices in line with company policies and guidelines.
- Monitor and maintain networks and servers to ensure optimal connectivity and security.
- Install and update antivirus software and perform system backups to ensure data integrity.
- Maintain detailed records of all system maintenance activities and support tickets to track issues and assist with training.
About You
To be successful in this role, you should possess:
- A Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or a related field.
- 2–3 years’ experience in a similar role, preferably within an FMCG environment.
- Excellent communication and reporting skills.
- A proactive approach with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
