Merchandiser

We are seeking a committed and energetic Merchandiser to support daily sales operations by executing key in-store activities that help the sales team achieve its objectives. This role is responsible for effective merchandising, promotions, displays, sales support, packing, sampling, cleaning, shelf setup and refilling, as well as placing posters and point of sale materials to ensure strong product visibility, availability, and presentation in line with the daily sales operations plan.
The successful candidate will report to the Trade Marketing Representative and will be based in Port Moresby.
Key Responsibilities
Merchandising Execution
- Merchandise products safely and efficiently by following company policies, GMPs, and work instructions
- Fill shelves from back stock and support promotional activities
- Maintain product quality standards and ensure excellent product presentation
Reporting & Documentation
- Accurately complete sales and merchandising check sheets
- Record completed work and materials used
- Assist in trade activities and promotional executions
Customer & Quality Focus
- Meet customer needs through effective communication and teamwork
- Check work quality and collaborate closely with Sales teams
- Assist in identifying and resolving issues proactively
Professional Behaviour & Teamwork
- Demonstrate acceptable workplace behaviour by following operating principles and instructions
- Cooperate effectively with team members and provide excellent customer service
- Support and assist in training fellow staff members
Qualifications & Experience
- Experience in Trade Marketing, Sales, or the FMCG industry
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to maintain merchandising standards within outlets and work independently
- Valid Class 6 driver’s license
