Commercial Investment Analyst

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Commercial Investment Analyst to play a key role in supporting our commercial decision-making. This position is responsible for delivering insightful financial and strategic analysis to evaluate investment opportunities, trade spend, and commercial initiatives. The successful candidate will support profitability, drive sustainable growth and ensure all commercial investments are closely aligned with business objectives.

The Commercial Investment Analyst will report to the Trade Operations Planning Manager and will be based at our Head Office in Port Moresby.

Key Responsibilities
Assess commercial investments including trade promotions, marketing campaigns and distribution expansion while conducting ROI analysis and profitability assessments for proposed initiatives. Provide recommendations on resource allocation across categories and channels to support business performance. Identify opportunities to optimise trade spend and improve return on investment. Support the development of investment governance frameworks and strengthen decision-making processes across commercial functions.

Qualifications & Skills
Applicants must have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in trade marketing or brand management, preferably within FMCG or consumer goods in Papua New Guinea. Strong analytical skills with a high level of attention to detail and strategic thinking ability are essential. The role requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships with internal teams and retail partners. A Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business or a related field is preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, PowerPoint and Word, is required.
