Raw Materials Supervisor
We have a vacancy for an enthusiastic and motivated Raw Materials Supervisor who will be based in (Lae), reporting to the (Raw Materials Coordinator).
The Role: (Job responsibilities)
- Inventory Management & Control. Maintain accurate records of raw materials inventory. Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly stock reconciliations to ensure zero variances. Implement FIFO (First-In, First-Out) and FEFO (First-Expired, First-Out) principles to reduce waste and ensure product quality. Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies in collaboration with warehouse staff. Manage inventory levels, ensuring that materials are available to meet production schedules while preventing overstocking and shortage.
- Manage material operations. Oversee the shipping, receiving, handling and warehousing of raw materials and ensure material needs are met throughout the organization
- Logistics Coordination. Coordinate procurement, warehouse and distribution operations to enable efficient workflows and troubleshoot operational roadblocks
- Safety and Compliance. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations implementing best practices in safety and productivity
- Team Development. Mentor and train team members for professional and personal development, fostering a productive work environment.
- Reporting and Analysis. Monitor performance metrics and prepare reports for senior management.
- Minimum: Diploma or bachelor’s degree in business administration, supply chain management or a related field is typically required.
- 3 – 5 Proven experience in a similar role preferably in raw materials management in an FMCG
- Experience in ERP/WMS or Syspro software.
