Process Technicians

Paradise Foods Limited is a reputable and growing organisation within the food manufacturing sector, committed to producing safe and high-quality products. With a strong focus on compliance, continuous improvement and operational excellence, we are seeking dedicated and experienced Process Technicians to support our production operations at our Port Moresby factory.

The Role

The Process Technician is responsible for the efficient operation, monitoring and adjustment of manufacturing equipment and processes. This role plays a critical part in ensuring product quality, production efficiency and compliance with food safety and workplace health and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate, monitor and adjust processing and packaging equipment to meet production targets
  • Conduct routine inspections and assist with minor mechanical adjustments and basic maintenance
  • Accurately record production, quality and downtime information
  • Identify and escalate equipment or process issues to minimise downtime
  • Follow all SOPs, GMP and food safety requirements
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives within the production process
  • Work collaboratively with Production, Engineering and Quality teams

Qualifications, Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience in a food manufacturing or process-driven environment
  • Knowledge of GMP, HACCP and food safety requirements
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving capability
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • High attention to detail and commitment to safe work practices
  • National Certificate II or III or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical or related field
  • Experience with process control systems or automated equipment will be an advantage
