Occupational Health, Safety & Environment (OHSE) Coordinator

Are you passionate about workplace safety, environmental responsibility, and driving positive change? Paradise Foods Limited is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Occupational Health, Safety & Environment (OHSE) Coordinator to join our team in Lae.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct on-site risk assessments and implement effective mitigation strategies through collaboration with site management.
  • Carry out regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with company SSHE standards and national regulations.
  • Review overall HSSE performance, benchmarking against global standards and industry best practices.
  • Document and maintain auditable SSHE system procedures.
  • Deliver competency-based training to internal teams, contractors, and visitors.
  • Oversee OHSE incident management and investigations.
  • Promote health awareness programs in collaboration with the site nurse.
  • Lead emergency preparedness and response plans.
  • Manage environmental responsibilities and compliance.

Qualifications:

  • A university degree in Environmental Science or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong time management and the ability to work independently.
  • A team-focused mindset with strong personal discipline and motivation.
  • Membership in a relevant professional body (desirable but not mandatory).
