Area Sales Manger’s responsibility is to ensure sales targets and or budgets in the given area is achieved by fostering and maintaining relationships with key customers, retail outlets and wholesalers by effectively leading sales teams comprising of sales representatives and merchandisers in the allocated area.
Key Responsibilities
Administration
- Ensure reliable and accurate sales data from the market
- Provide reports to management
- Provide pricing and sales performances of competitors
Operations
- Ensure sales promotions are implemented as planned
- Ensure company resources and equipment such as vehicles and freezers are effectively managed, kept and maintained in good working condition
- Provide accurate report to management on repair and maintenance issues
Financial
- Ensure sales promotions do not exceed budget
- All sales and promotion materials are strictly controlled
- Products and novelty items are used according to plan
Business Development/Innovation
- Identify and secure new business opportunities for the business
Communication and Building Relationship
- Maintain close relationships with Key customers and ensure their requirements are met
- Maintain close consultation with warehouse and distribution personnel to ensure products are delivered to customers on time
Skills and Qualifications:
- Tertiary Qualification in Business
- Minimum 3-4 years similar experience
- Appropriate business skills accreditation
- Excellent communication skills
- High focus on on-time delivery
- High attention to detail
- Ability to lead motivate and train staff
- Ability to work in a cross-cultural environment
- Self-Starter and strong relationships building skills
