Paradise Foods Limited is pleased to announce the appointment of Durgaprasad Pandey as the new Plant Manager for the PFL Biscuit plant in Lae.

Mr. Durgaprasad Pandey is an Indian national with Operations and Factory experience across various streams of manufacturing entailing Food-Biscuits, Alcohol Beverages, Chemical Manufacturing, Mining & Metal winning. He has held lead roles in mega factory operations having multiple lines and manufacturing facilities at companies such as Sona Agro Allied Foods, Noble Group SA, Britannia, Vans Gypsum and United Breweries Ltd.

A qualified Mechanical Engineer by trade, Durgaprasad has strong engineering, maintenance and operational skills working with large scale leadership of teams and plans with a proven track record of working in emerging markets like Dominican Republic of Congo and Angola. He also holds an Executive MBA in Operations from Institute of Technology & Management in association with Southern Hampshire University-USA.

As Plant Manager for the PFL Biscuit Plant in Lae, Durgaprasad will be responsible to manage overall plant performance, ensuring machine efficiencies to enable teams to achieve their targets and objectives; manage operational costs through the optimum use of labour, materials and packaging to achieve the lowest cost at all times and to continually look for and identify process and profit improvement opportunities to enhance plant performance and reduce cost. He will work closely with the respective functional site management teams and assume responsibility of company assets and the safety and security of personnel on site.
