Taipeng Angi is the Warehouse & Logistics Manager at Paradise Foods. His role within the company gives him the responsibility of the Logistics, Inventory and Warehousing of Raw Materials and Finished Goods at the PFL factory in Lae.

Taipeng grew up eating meat pies and sausage rolls from at the then Morobe Bakery when it was located near the Lae Rugby League Oval. His Grandfather, Yapi Boc started working at the the Morobe Bakery in 1952 preparing sausage rolls, pastries and specialty meat pies.

Taipeng joined Paradise Foods in 2020, after working with Trukai Indsutries Limited for 10 years. The decision to join Paradise Foods was an easy one, with not only his Grandfather, but his mother Keka Angi also working for Paradise Foods as a casual employee during her term breaks while she was at school. She worked as a gardener and then moved to the pastries section making cakes and pies.

To this day Taipeng still has flashbacks when moving around the PFL Lae Factory of the hot pies and elephant packaging breads that his grandfather would take home, as staff were entitled to take home pies and hot buns to their families after work.

Taipeng’s Grandfather Yapi retired between 1996 & 1997 after working for Paradise Foods for over 40 years.

Upon joining Paradise Foods in 2020, Taipeng has been fortunate to meet co-workers of his Grandfather who are still with the company. Meeting co-workers of his grandfather builds an emotional connection with Paradise Foods for him, making him want to give his best to the company.

For Taipeng, it is an exciting opportunity to come back to Paradise Foods, a place that he grew up with all his life. What motivates him more is that he can now give back to the company as an employee. Making him a Third Generation Employee of Paradise Foods.

Taipeng is very proud that he is able to work with Paradise Foods. A company that has family history for him and a company that continues to strive towards feeding the people of Papua New Guinea.
